Our Parishes
At OLQM, we are blessed to be serving two thriving parishes within York and the Diocese of Middlesborough.
Canon Michael and Father Tony are regularly in school and available to chat with children, support staff and play an active role in the life of the school.
Our pupils benefit from warm, positive relationships with parishioners who come and take part in the life of school through hearing readers, volunteering to support trips, craft and baking activities and joining us for school Masses and celebrations.
We serve our parishes through children being alter servers, reading at Masses and leading special Masses or celebrations.
A parish foodbank has now permanently relocated within school so we can reach and support those most in need across our community.
Additionally, during the recent pandemic, children wrote letters to isolated members of the parish to encourage and give them hope.
