A life-saving defibrillator has been installed at York primary school Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, with the help of a parent’s company.
The Defibrillator, which can help provide emergency treatment in the event of cardiac arrest, is located in the hall. It will benefit not only the staff and pupils but also anyone from the local community using the school premises.
The purchase of the defibrillator was made possible by Yorkshire-based CDS, a digital and print communications agency, which works with the public and private sector to make their communications more effective.
Fergus Bailie, OLQM parent who works for CDS said: We aim to improve each community where we work. When we heard that OLQM were considering a defibrillator we were delighted to be able to help. It is a pleasure to be a part of a project, which could help save people’s lives and make the school and community a safer place. Hopefully by having this resource the school will be able to provide confidence and support to the staff, pupils and members of the public who use the facilities.”
At our Lady Queen of Martyrs we welcome community use of our buildings and outdoor areas. The school has great facilities including a large hall, a good quality playing field, sports tarmac MUGA, art and craft area and more. For more information on these facilities please follow the link below.
If you are interested in using the premises please contact Mrs Kate Morrell on 01904 555204 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
