Welcome to St Margaret!
Year 2!
Class Teacher Mrs Siddall
You will find information about what we do in Year 2, and the kind of things we are learning. We have lots of help from Mrs Horner, Mrs Oaten and Miss Parkin.
You can see us in action in the slide shows.
PE is on Thursday mornings and PE kit should be left in school each week and then taken home at half-term for washing. It should always be labelled.
To keep you up to date with what we are doing in school, you will find a weekly newsletter in your child's planner, along with a new set of spellings. These are updated every Friday. Please can you help your child practise these spellings along with regular reading.
The first week we come back to school after February Half Term will be 'Art Week'. In our class we will be learning about the work of Yorkshire artist David Hockney and re-creating his tree-scape, and his water reflections in clay. We also plan to do some i-pad art just as Hockney himself has done. Many of his pieces are exhibited in Cartwright Hall in Bradford, a quick drive if you are able to go and see them in the holiday.
