The teachers are Mrs Wright and Mr Hartley. We have lots of fun learning new things in Year One. Here are a few activities you can do at home.
We aim to become confident fluent readers by the end of Year One. Phonics plays a big part in this. We need to be able to quickly recall all our sounds to help us blend to read new words. This knowledge will also help us to become super writers and spellers. Have a look at the website below to practice these skills.
Have a look at this website and use the games to practice what we are learning at school. Can you order numbers with the counting caterpillar? Or use your knowledge of pairs for 10 to Save the Whale? Or even have a go at beating the Place Value Shark - watch out!
