A beautiful day for our school May Procession. The Chaplaincy Team led the liturgy and all the children processed into the playground with their flowers. Thank you to all the parents/carers and parishioners who joined us.
The school looked wonderful filled with flowers.
The Chaplaincy Team led an assembly to launch the Mission Together Appeal to support those in Sri Lanka.
The Chaplaincy Team told children, staff and parents “We want to collect money for Sri Lanka and as a school we are aiming high!”
Collections will take place at the Advent Services and Nativity Plays in the coming weeks. Please donate generously to this good cause.
Year 6 Retreat
Sadly Myddleton Grange has closed down, however Year 6 visited a new retreat centre last year and had a great time. The current Year 6 will visit in December and we look forward to their photos.
A Chaplaincy Team has been formed consisting of the Parish Priest, Governor, Parishioners, Teachers and Pupils. They meet on a monthly basis.
The pupils on the school chaplaincy team are enthusiastic and becoming confident with organising prayers and readings for the whole school.
“Pupils enjoy being part of the newly formed chaplaincy team and help with class and whole class liturgies. They say they feel valued and are able to express their views and feelings confidently.” Ofsted March 2013
Members of the Chaplaincy Team accompanied Year 6 pupils on their recent residential visit to Myddleton, Ilkley.
